FOXXE FACTS

 

  Although the Foxxe played several gigs before records were kept, I have  documented 227 gigs beginning November 1968. We probably played something like 235 gigs.

• The Foxxe's first gig (date undocumented) was at the Airman's Club, Tinker  AFB. The band members were: Bob Henley, Mike Henley, Roger Eaves, Ralph Fields, Dick Duke and Graham Pugh.

• The busiest month was December 1970 (12 gigs)          

• The most profitable month was December 1970 ($2,200.00)

• Other Notable months:  April 1970 - $1555.00; May 1970 - $1985.00; April 1971 - $1945.00;
May 1971 - $1850.00

• The least profitable month was June 1970 when the band earned only $230.00. The second least profitable month was June 1971 ($400.00).

• Most played venues: Uptite Teen Club - 27 times; Tinker AFB - 13 Times; YMCA - 7 times; Marlow - 6 times.

• The band's last gig was July 24, 1971 - a street dance at Midwest City High School. Band members were: Ira Beth Wylie;  Sylvester Smith; Bob Henley; Dick Duke and Graham Pugh.
